NeuroCatch® scans are currently available at multiple locations with new locations being added often! Click here for more information about each authorized NeuroCatch® clinic.
The NeuroCatch® Platform is a portable medical device which can be easily integrated into a wide range of clinical settings. A growing network of NeuroCatch® clinicians can also come to you.
The ABCs of NeuroCatch® are derived from event-related potentials (ERPs), and they measure Auditory sensation (N100), Basic attention (P300), and Cognitive processing (N400).
The A: the N100 is a negative peak response that occurs around 100ms in response to tone stimuli (and other stimuli) and is associated with neural activity during auditory sensory-perceptual processing (Davis, 1939). The B: the P300 is a positive peak response that occurs around 300ms in response to deviant (“oddball”) stimuli and is associated with neural activity during basic attention and recognition memory processing (Sutton et al., 1967). The C: the N400 is a negative peak response that occurs around 400ms in response to incongruent (unexpected) word pair stimuli and is associated with neural activity during cognitive processing of the semantic mismatch (Kutas and Hillyard, 1980).

The NeuroCatch® scan is a simple, rapid, and straightforward test of cognitive brain function. All that is required is for you to be relaxed, awake, and alert during your scan.
The scan involves placing a cap with sensors on your head and listening to a simple series of auditory tones (beeps) and word pairs that either match or mismatch for 6 minutes. There is no need to respond, as NeuroCatch® does all the work by “catching” your brainwave activity.
The NeuroCatch® report is immediately available to your healthcare practitioner after the scan.
Traditional cognitive assessments rely heavily on subjective reports or the subject’s ability to produce on-demand responses. This subjectivity leaves room for error and limits participants who struggle with communication or motor movement. By contrast, the NeuroCatch® Platform is an objective cognitive assessment tool that provides rapid, easy-to-use, neurophysiological results that is standardized and reported in a simplified format.
A NeuroCatch® scan can be done repeatably to monitor brain response changes over time and is not dependent on going to a specialized hospital or clinic. As a standardized test, the results do not vary depending on specific practitioners and/or clinics.
The NeuroCatch® Platform is an all-in-one hardware and software system that triggers, captures and rapidly translates ERP signals into accurate measurements of ABC (Auditory sensation [N100]; Basic attention [P300]; and Cognitive processing [N400]). These ERP responses are in units of amplitude (microvolts) and latency (milliseconds), providing a measure on neural activity and processing speed.

We are excited for all to join the growing NeuroCatch® global community! Support for NeuroCatch® users includes: NeuroCatch® training and certification; training and troubleshooting videos; and telephone, email and in-person support.
Additionally, the NeuroCatch® Platform includes the User Guide, inside of which you will also find the Quick-Start Guide. Users also have the opportunity to participate in our electrophysiology brain-camp program, which aims to fully unleash their brain-scanning potential.
The NeuroCatch® Platform is a portable, all-in-one hardware and software system designed for use by brain-focused clinicians and researchers.
The easy-to-use NeuroCatch® Platform consists of electroencephalography (EEG) electrodes embedded in a mesh cap, a transmitter with corresponding receiving base station, a headset charging pad and the required USB cables. The laptop provided with the platform includes the DAS and Data Processing Software (DPS).
Once NeuroCatch® has been set up, proprietary 6-minute auditory sequences are played through earbud-style headphones (also provided). Once the NeuroCatch® scan is completed, a report is generated immediately.
